Thrive

Thrive uses gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.

This is known as social and therapeutic horticulture - the process of working with plants to improve physical and psychological health, and communication and thinking skills.

Greenfingers Charity

We are a national charity dedicated to supporting children who spend time in hospices around the UK, along with their families, by creating inspiring gardens for them to relax in and benefit from. We create beautiful, well-designed outdoor spaces for children to enjoy with family, friends and siblings, whether through play and fun, or therapeutic rest/relaxation.

Our education programmes help teachers and school professionals to develop gardening projects that teach children where their food comes from, develop their scientific and environmental awareness and encourage them to eat more fruit and vegetables. Gardening and growing are good for us all. It is good for our physical and mental health, for reducing stress and helping to tackle challenging behaviour.
