Summer
August can be a difficult month for the plot. Many will be taking annual holidays and the weather can be extreme, with drought a potential issue.
There isn't too much to sow for this season except some successional sowings of late salads but next years growing season will be starting already with the propagating of spring cabbage needing to be done.
For many, you might be suffering from 'allotment fatigue' as so much effort has gone into getting this far. You are not alone but next month will be an easier month. Enjoy your holiday...
